The purpose of this tour is to grow the game of golf by making it more accessible.  With most of our juniors being in the early stages of learning how to play golf, we have partnered with several local organizations to help your child learn the basics of golf.  Additionally, these organizations promote character development and teach life-enhancing values through the game of golf.  Below is a list of the local organizations with links to their website and contact information.

ADVANCED GOLF INSTRUCTION

EMJGT will strive to provide scholarships for junior golfers to advance their abilities through attending the Old Waverly Junior Golf Program.  Eligible juniors will be recognized for earning the most points through tournament golf, participating as a member and upholding the values of the organization.  The Old Waverly Junior Golf Program is open to all juniors.  We highly recommend your child consider attending one of their camps.  More information about junior golf at Old Waverly is provided below.

Instructors - VJ Trolio & Tim Yelverton

If your junior golfer is wanting to learn more about golf and move beyond the basics, we highly recommend the Old Waverly Junior Golf Program.  Led by PGA Professionals VJ Trolio and Tim Yelverton, here, the junior golfers will learn HOW TO rather than WHAT TO. They will experience goal setting, skill building, and the transfer of that skill. They will come to learn the difference between TARGETING and AIMING. They will learn how to practice by OBJECTIVE rather than just beating on golf balls with no purpose. They will learn the importance of a ROUTINE rather than having a mind full of swing thoughts. They will learn the importance of REINFORCING each shot, each practice session, and each tournament.
